Thank you so much for your willingness to spread the word to support Hosting Blood Drives throughout your network

This is fantastic and I love your initiative to give back to the community in such a meaningful and lifesaving way.

We generally try to book 6+ months out, and hold mobile Blood Drives (we bring the Blood Drive to you) Tuesday thru Saturday. We can, however, often arrange a Blood Drive within a shorter lead time if space is available and we have a champion that wants to jump in to support.

The main 2 things we would need from you as a sponsor is a suitable location and donors.  

The Site Suitability sheet attached talks about what we’re looking for in a location. For a site, we will need access to the room for minimum of 8-9 hours. 5-6 hours for the blood drive, 1 hour to setup and 2 hours to cleanup.  We expect to see a minimum of 35 people during those 6 hours. (about 1-2 donors per 15 minutes or 6 donors per hour) depending on the group we could plan to see more people.

A note on donors. We are looking for 35+ potential donors to sign up with you and say “I’m willing and eligible to donate blood”  once we get that, we can move forward with specifics like a date and times.  If someone has questions about their eligibility to donate blood, please call 1-866-236-3276. Here’s a weblink regarding eligibility: http://www.redcrossblood.org/donating-blood/eligibility-requirements
