What can you do to work for Racial Justice, particularly if you are a white person?  How can you be an effective ally?   SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) was founded as a way to educate and organize white people, so that they can effectively show solidarity with people of color, and work for Racial Justice.  There are already several chapters of SURJ in the Bay Area, including Oakland and San Franciso, but not yet one in Contra Costa.

Come and join with us to start an affiliate of SURJ in our local community. The first meeting will be at Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church (9am-10:30am on March 10), organized by the church’s Racial Justice Committee. Future meetings may also be there, or in another location.
