May Day or Beltane Monday May 1st 2017

Celebrate the sunrise on the morning of Beltane morning with Berkeley Morris.  Beltane, in the Pagan calendar, is the first day of summer and lies half way between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice.

Berkeley Morris (youtube ‘Morris Men’ or ‘Berkeley Morris’) will start dancing at 5:30 am.  When the sun rises at about 6:10 am we all sing typically something about rising fertility, such as ‘Jack-O-the-Green’ and dance with the Morris.  This is not a ritual.  Dress warmly.  Parking is free and is along the side of the roads approaching Inspiration Point.
