Interfaith Interconnect will present the April  Religion Chat at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3574 Vineyard Avenue, Pleasanton on April 12, 2017,, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM.  The doors at the church will be open at 4:30 PM and close at 6:30PM so that attendees can visit with each other before or after the official program if they choose to do so.  This event is free of charge.  Everyone is welcome.
 
The topic will be  “CHOOSE A PARTICULAR HOLIDAY, HOLY DAY, FEAST OR OTHER CELEBRATION THAT YOU OBSERVE IN YOUR FAITH.  WHAT IS ITS SIGNIFICANCE AND HOW DO YOU CELEBRATE IT?”

Our speakers will be Alisha Shaik, who will speak about the Muslim holiday of Ramadan.  A member of the LDS Church will tell us about Pioneer Day.
 
Religion Chat is a monthly interfaith forum held on the second Wednesday of the month at one of Interfaith Interconnect’s sixteen participating congregations in Livermore and Pleasanton.  The group’s mission statement reads, “To enrich, educate, and inform ourselves and others about the great diversity of faiths and cultures in our Valley.”  In order to accomplish our mission, a variety of events are held each year.
