Just received this update from HCH Institute where I now practice as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Reiki Master. I’m sending this along so that you know of this wonderful place, that offers free Reiki Sessions to the public, see clinic hours below. More notably: 10 complimentary sessions for Veterans through our low cost clinic. HCH is a little tricky to find, but easy if you use the attached map, it is on “Upper Mt. Diablo Blvd.”, not Mt Diablo Main.” GPS won’t find you there, most likely. For those who know Lafayette, it is up Risa and a jog right on Woodbury, then straight up to the top. “Reservations Required” means “It helps to set up if we know how many are coming!” HCH Low Cost Clinic fees are only $40 per session or $140 for a 4-session package for Reiki or Hypnotherapy.
I also give a complimentary first session to anyone needing or wanting to try out Reiki or Hypnotherapy and 3 complimentary sessions of Reiki for clergy. Hypnotherapy has a history of negative “wrapping.” Basically,it brings you into a deeply relaxed state, allowing you to let go of tension and negativity. Where you go with it from there is up to you and or one can just use the session to get deeply relaxed. It is akin to guided meditation. A bit of marketing here but also to let you know of this place where people can get stress relief at a relatively low cost and relax in this beautiful place!! I intend to continue to do what I can to help our community to heal.

Reiki Supports Balancing the Body, Mind, and Spirit
REIKI is a Japanese word that means Light or Universal Life Force. Reiki relieves stress, reduces or eliminates pain, and restores well-being. Reiki is Love manifest. At the Clinic we will introduce Reiki in a brief presentation and group discussion to answer questions and then the guests will each receive a 15 minute individual Reiki treatment .
Reiki treatments are given while the client lies on a massage table fully clothed. Guests are welcome to leave after their treatment or to sit in the energy of others receiving treatments and then share their experiences and further questions.
Calling all Reiki Practitioners and All New to Reiki
If you are a Reiki Practitioner, please join us to share Reiki with our guests. This is a great opportunity to practice your hands on Reiki skills and to get feedback from your Reiki clients. We at HCH appreciate your support and participation!
Please join us on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm or second Friday of every month at 11AM. Reiki practitioners and all new to Reiki who would like to experience a Reiki treatment are welcome.

Tamara began her studies of the healing arts after she attended a Reiki clinic at HCH about 10 years ago upon experiencing a shift in her consciousness while receiving Reiki.
She has a healing practice (Moonlit Soul Healing) based in Oakland, California and on site at HCH Institute, drawing on all the various modalities she has studied to help empower and strengthen her clients’ sense of self and connection to source energy. Prior to her healing studies, Tamara studied biology and worked as a molecular biologist in NJ and attended law school here in California after which she practiced as a business transactional attorney for many years.
She has also worked as a human rights activist, and a pre-school volunteer teacher at several non-profit organizations in the Bay Area.
She considers learning and transmitting her knowledge to her students and the collective one of her gifts and passions in this life.
She lives with her husband and daughter in Oakland, CA and enjoys playing the piano, photography and nature walks.

Annie Blackstone was first certified as a hypnotherapist in 1992, at Harbin Hot springs with teacher Sarah Stewart. Annie practiced hypnotherapy, past life regression, jin shin do acupuncture and massage in Oakland for 8 years. After taking a break to raise 5 children and founding and serving as CEO of a non profit organization in Haiti, for the last 20 years Annie has returned to her true calling as a hypnotherapist and energy worker. She was re-certified as a hypnotherapist at HCH institute in 2017. Annie is a clinical hypnotherapist, a Reiki master teacher, she is also trained as a Past Life Regression Therapist, EFT practitioner and sand play therapist. Annie has her own practice at HCH and is available for private sessions.
