Bruce Feiler to Speak at Lynnewood Church

Bruce Feiler, author of New York Times Bestseller, Walking the Bible, will speak on his latest book, The First Love Story: Adam, Eve, and Us, April 4, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Lynnewood United Methodist Church in Pleasanton.

The First Love Story will be available for purchase in the last week of March and at this free book talk/signing sponsored by Towne Center Books, Pleasanton. In this latest book, Feiler travels from the Garden of Eden in Iraq to the Sistine Chapel in Rome, looking at the relationship of Adam and Eve in a new way. Although history blames this first couple for bringing sin, deceit, and death into the world, Feiler shows how their relationship can be viewed through the lens of unity, forgiveness, and love.

Bruce Feiler, the author of Walking the Bible, Abraham, and The Secrets of Happy Families, is a New York Times columnist and the presenter of the PBS series “Walking the Bible and Sacred Journeys with Bruce Feiler.” Feiler is a Jewish writer with an interfaith perspective on the history of the Holy Land.

The event is free, and the community is welcome. The church is located at 4444 Black Avenue, across from the aquatic center. Parking is behind the church.
