2017 NAIN ‘Connect’ Conference
August 6-10, 2017
A Few Days Left To Register!
There are only a few days left to register at the Early Bird Special rate of $299.  As of MARCH 1st the 4-day conference price goes up to $349 and will remain until July 1st or until we reach our maximum of 500 attendees. Those under 35 years old, have a special rate of $199 which remains the same until July 1st.

and REGISTER NOW!  If you will require apartment-type housing for the 4 days, there is a connecting link on the registration form to UCSD housing after you have registered for the conference.  If you want to send a proposal by March 31st to present, there is also a connecting link for that after you register.

We do not believe that there will be a problem by August however, IF there is a Travel Ban and you cannot come to the conference, your entire registration fee will be refunded to you.

We have been approached by individuals and spiritual centers asking how they could financially contribute to the 2017 NAIN Conference.  Thank you for the checks we have received.  Now you can contribute on-line thru PayPal on our website http://powayinterfaithteam. com/nain .  

How to Get Here (repeated)

Flying into the San Diego International Airport or driving in from any direction south, take Interstate – 5 North to La Jolla Village Drive West. Take the first light,

right (north), stay to your left to Gilman Drive.  The Gilman Parking Garage will be directly ahead of you and the apartments will be one block ahead (north).  Signage will direct you to the UCSD Price Center (Conference site) and/or Apartments.

2017 CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS
 

This 4-day conference is FILLED with speakers, workshops, activities and celebrations to cause you to want to stay in San Diego longer. From the Sunday Experience filled with a Bridge for Peace Ceremony, City Proclamations for Interfaith Awareness Week, incredible food, an interfaith choir and being serenaded by Karl Anthony you will go to bed very happy.

Our Monday’s morning Keynote is Speaker, Author Azim Khamisa whose story “From Murder to Forgiveness” will teach us about true Compassion & Harmony. Meet the NAIN Youth Scholars afterwards and then, after lunch, participate in a 3-hour Inter-generational dialogue which will bridge together young and not-as- young interfaith people.

Monday afternoon, keynote Monsignor Dennis Mikulanis will show us how Christianity began in California at the San Diego de Acala Mission and then you will be whisked away to Old Town to explore the historic and entertaining district of San Diego as it first was: Wells Fargo Wagon, Mariachi bands, Old Candy Store, Souvenir Shops, Mormon Battalion and much, much more.

Tuesday morning will be filled with at least 12 faith workshops and from 1 to 9pm you will hear from Mormon Speakers at their historic cathedral, New Thought, Jewish and Sikh keynotes including attending a Sikh dinner and cultural performance.

 

After 6 more workshops Wednesday morning, lunch will include a program with keynote Imam Taha Hassane & Rev. Rick Love called “Evangelical/Islam & Interfaith” which will give you a deeper hope for peace between faiths. A celebration will happen afterwards at Balboa Park which will include, touring historic sites, eating, singing, laughing and dancing into the night.

 

Thursday morning has at least 6 more workshops and as many as 4 surprise keynotes including Michael Kinnamon as well as other special presentation. You will want to stay into Thursday afternoon so you do not miss any of the activities.

Speakers will be chosen by topic (“How we are bringing Harmony to our Community”) and combined by similarity of topics. If interested, please register for the conference and
